Bis (acyloxyethyl) ammonium acetate

IRASOFT SD
Bis (acyloxyethyl) ammonium acetate

Bis (Acyloxyethyl) Ammonium Acetate or Irasoft SD is a non-ionic surfactant with weak cationic properties that is primarily non-ionic but possesses a small amount of positive charge. It is a yellow flake with good softening, anti-static, and easy re-wetting properties. It is resistant to yellowing at high temperatures. It is stable at 1% to 10% concentrations, compatible with fabric polishing materials, and can be used as a softener in the textile industry. Irasoft SD is not compatible with anionic materials because of its weak cationic nature.

  • Anti static electricity
  • Emollient
  • dispersant

Applications of bis (acyloxyethyl) ammonium acetate

  1. Fabric care products: Bis (Acyloxyethyl) Ammonium Acetate is used in fabric softeners to enhance the softness and reduces static cling of the fabrics. It also aids in the even distribution of active ingredients and improves the efficiency of the products.
  2. Leather care products: Irasoft SD can be utilized in the leather industry to soften leather during the preparation process.

Features and benefits of Airsoft SD

Balanced charge: The weak cationic properties of Irasoft SD provide a balanced charge, which can be an advantage in applications that require a subtle positive charge.

Emulsifier and stabilizer: The weak cationic properties of Irasoft SD can enhance the emulsification and stabilization of formulations. It can help disperse particles and stabilize emulsions, leading to improved product consistency and efficiency.

Dispersing agent: By using non-ionic surfactants with weak cationic properties, materials can be more easily dispersed on the fabric surface, resulting in better coating and distribution.

Compatibility with cationinc surfactants: Non-ionic surfactants with weak cationic properties can be used with other surfactants, including cationic surfactants to achieve desired properties and yields in the formulations. However, duo to their cationic nature, they are not compatible with anionic materials.

Softening effect: Irasoft SD, with its excellent softening properties, is commonly used in the textile industry to improve the ironing process of fabrics.

Reduced static electricity: Irasoft SD with its weak cationic properties can help to reduce static electricity in some applications, including fabric softeners and anti-static sprays.

Versatility: Non-ionic surfactants with weak cationic properties are widely used in compounds and products due to its compatibility with different ingredients and pH levels.
