Bis (Acyloxyethyl) Hydroxyethyl Methylammonium Methosulfate (Esterquat) or Irasoft O18, is a quaternary Ammonium compound and cationic surfactant derived from oleic acid. It is well-known for its softening properties, rewetting abilities, and its ability to make ironing easier. Its liquid form makes it convenient to use in liquid form products and it is commonly used as the main ingredient in towel and fabric softeners.

Appilcations and Uses of Irasoft O18
- Towel and fabric detergents and softeners: Irasoft O18 is used in laundry detergents and fabric softeners due to its features such as softening, anti-static properties and rewetting. This ingredient imparts a soft and smooths feel to the fabrics. It enhances the overall comfort and quality of textiles and improves their appearance. It makes ironing easier, and as a wetting agent, it helps to reabsorb water. The fabric does not turn yellow due to it.
